Bilangan vocabulary kanak-kanak berkembang pesat seawal umur 1 tahun. Kanak-kanak belajar sekurang-kurangnya 3/lebih perkataan sehari. Mereka belajar dari apa yang di dengar, di lihat dan dirasa dari perkara-perkara sekeliling mereka. Dedahkan mereka dengan perkataan2 baru setiap hari. Ini membantu mereka belajar dengan lebih cepat.
